LISA BRIGHTWELL

Managing Director at Bright Insights Consulting, who lives in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

WiiN Ed: What industry achievement are you most proud of?

LB: I am very proud to have run my own business for the last 7 years, being your own boss is incredible but it is not easy to make a successful business. Therefore, I am exceptionally proud to have been able to create a business that has found its place in the market and is making a mark with some big brands.

WiiN Ed: What personal achievement are you most proud of?

LB: I think there is no greater role in this life than being a mum. It’s not as easy as you think but it is the most rewarding part of my personal life, to see these little humans grow and evolve. It makes me very proud.

WiiN Ed: What has been your favourite WiiN moment of the last year?

LB: Being connected to my mentee. Savannah and I have enjoyed sharing our lives and experiences with each other and I’m very grateful for our relationship which is mutually beneficial.

WiiN Ed: What inspires you?

LB: Seeing people support each other and being kind. Kindness, spreads joy and warmth and is very contagious. We should all treat each other the way we would like to be treated and think about random acts of kindness to people who you may not know was well. I often do random acts of kindness with my kids, to see how it makes the person feel and to see how good my kids feel about it, really inspires me.

WiiN Ed: What advice would you give ladies joining the industry now?

LB: Learn from the industry but do not be afraid to break outside of what has always been done. Be bold and look for new strategies and opportunities, your fresh eyes will bring a new perspective, so build on that.

WiiN Ed: What are you looking forward to in the next 12 months?

LB: New clients and new opportunities.

MARIE TRIVINO

Branded Gift card Coordinator, Carrefour Group Consultant, who lives in Paris, France

WiiN Ed : What industry achievement are you most proud of?

MT : I am extremely proud of my current project, I am working with Carrefour, one of the main grocery chains worldwide and I am leading a Gift Card cross country project with very engaging people, we have a sales and strategic challenge to overcome which I found thrilling. I found Carrefour an inspiring company, embracing change in society through products and services and a strong digital focus. I like the fact that gift cards can be a part of that change and that I can help drive their success.

WiiN Ed : What personal achievement are you most proud of?

MT : I am very proud of how I embraced all opportunities that came to me to grow in my carrier, which gave me the chance to live in 4 European capitals. I started to work in Paris after my business school and since then I fought to get my dream jobs across London and Berlin. My last move was to go independent and leave the corporate world. I today live in Lisbon, Portugal working with my international clients.

WiiN Ed : What has been your favourite WiiN moment of the last year?

MT : My favourite moment was probably the 1st or 2nd time we all met and had a chance to introduce ourselves and get to know each other. I am extremely proud to be part of that association, I believe it gives us an infinite source of knowledge and a great way to present ourselves to the rest of the industry.

WiiN Ed : What inspires you?

MT : I am very interested in women close to my circle, especially in our industry who are successful business leaders in the corporate and entrepreneurial world. I like to have inspiring people who understand my problem and I can have a chat directly to. Looking up to them help me define my path.

WiiN Ed :What advice would you give ladies joining the industry now?

MT : Jump in and don’t be afraid to engage. I believe we are very lucky to have an open-minded and welcome industry with people from all across the world, who want to meet you and get business rolling together. Looking at the size of the industry we are still not enough people specialized, and we should talk more about it to all the young people entering the work market.

WiiN Ed : What are you looking forward to in the next 12 months?

MT: Meeting people again and reconnecting around events. I am very lucky to be encouraged to travel for work, and since September I had the chance to go meet my collaborators from all across Europe. It has been amazing to reintroduce this human touch to the job.
