Beyond the New Roles: Meet WiiN’s Global Co-Chairs
Following the announcement of Christine Rodriguez as Global Co-Chair for UK & EMEA and Marina Hodges as Global Co-Chair for North America, we wanted to get to know the women behind the new roles a little better. (read the announcement here)
Both Christine and Marina have been part of WiiN for several years, first as members and Ambassadors and later as active contributors to the Management Team. Their perspectives reflect something that sits at the heart of WiiN: bringing together women from across a fragmented industry to learn from each other, build meaningful connections and grow together.
For Marina, that cross-industry connection is one of WiiN’s greatest strengths:
“WiiN has been a place to test ideas, drawing on the depth of knowledge of some of the smartest women in the industry. Our particular industry — Incentives — is fragmented among issuers, brands, processors, and aggregators. Having a place where it all comes together is invaluable.”
Christine sees the network as a space where everyone can contribute:
“WiiN has always felt like a collaborative space where everyone can have a voice and make a contribution: shared moments of lived experience and making connections to facilitate personal and professional growth.”
Their advice to the next generation
Both Co-Chairs are also passionate about supporting women earlier in their careers — something they see as an important part of WiiN’s future.
Marina’s advice is simple:
“Network! Network! Network!”
She believes the industry is full of women willing to share their experience and open doors for others — whether as advisors, sponsors or simply sounding boards.
Christine’s advice is equally personal:
“Make connections, be a good person and be authentic. Imposter Syndrome is natural, but remember you are good enough. Every up and down is a learning opportunity.”
One year from now…
So, what do they hope members will feel about WiiN a year into their new leadership?
For Marina, the word is “invaluable.” She hopes members will feel that WiiN provides so much value that they “can’t wait to see what WiiN does next.”
For Christine, it’s “inspiring” — a network that “motivates and encourages.”
And perhaps those two words capture the ambition for this next chapter of WiiN perfectly: a network that is both invaluable and inspiring, bringing together different perspectives, creating opportunities and helping women across the industry thrive.
As Christine and Marina step into their new roles, they will work alongside the founding team and the wider Management Team to continue building that community — across regions, career stages and corners of the incentives industry.
We can’t wait to see where they take us next. 💙
